Texts, delivered to the inbox you already read.
SCIFText (Super Common Information Framework) runs on your Android phone. It watches the notifications you allow, and emails those notifications to addresses you choose.
Reply to that email and the phone sends your answer as a text from your own number.
How it works
- Add up to three forwarding addresses and turn forwarding on. The switch lives on the phone. Nothing is forwarded until you enable it.
- A new text shows up in that email inbox. Picture messages too. Open it like any other mail.
- Missed calls, doorbell, motion alarms, and package deliveries can go there as well. Turn those sources on in the app. Each one is a notification on the phone that becomes an email.
- Reply from your mail app. The reply goes back through the phone, so the other person sees it coming from you.
